Raymundo Caspe Casalmir
Feb 9, 1941 - May 17, 1983

A man of dignity. He meant what he said and said what he meant. He preached and practiced respect to everybody, even to one's foe. He lived by the Golden Rule. He took seriously the things he should. He liked achieving and always had, but never allowed his pleasure in achievement translate into grandiose self-image. A very strong-willed person, he asserted the right from wrong even at his personal cost.

He was so humble and admirably modest, he wouldn't tell you he copped the 19th place in the 1960 CPA Board Examination at the age of 19, that he graduated Salutatorian from Cabatuan National Comprehensive High School in 1956, that he was an elected member of the Sangguniang Bayan and the Chairman of the Council of Leaders of Cabatuan in the 1970's. But, proudly he would tell his friends that he married a chemical engineer who placed 6th in the board examination, that he has a daughter who finished a Mathematics/Computer science degree at UST, and a son who graduated Summa Cum Laude in accounting.

He died at the peak of his career. He died young. He had a short time to achieve his goals. But all the efforts he had done, and the love and caring he had shown for us live most affectingly in our memory.

Thank you, Lolo Badong and Lola Vita for DADDY.
